I'm Abhay.
I build things for the web.

I write code and care about how it looks. I've been at it since I was 14.

I don't separate design from engineering. Making something simple, whether it's a UI or a codebase, takes more work than making it complicated. Most people skip that work.

I started coding to build one specific app. Never built it. Built everything else instead. I went all-in around 2020, started freelancing in 2022, launched a startup somewhere in between, and shut it down. Still building things.

I work with founders who have a problem, not a spec. If you need someone to build from a list, I'm not the right person. If you need someone to help figure out what to build, I am.

What I Believe.

  • 01Ship it. A working thing beats a perfect one that doesn't exist.
  • 02If users need to be taught how to use your UI, the UI is broken.
  • 03Write code like someone else has to read it. They will.

How I Think.

I don't write code until I know what I'm actually solving.

Most projects slow down because people start building before they understand the problem. I do that work first. That's usually what makes the difference between shipping fast and shipping the wrong thing.

Limits help more than freedom.

The best things I've built had tight scope. When you can't do everything, you figure out what actually matters.

Outside Work.

  • Astrophysics the scale of the universe makes most problems feel manageable.
  • Fitness showing up consistently beats going all-out once.
  • Writing I write to think. Still figuring it out.
  • Weird ideas half of them are bad. I like thinking about them anyway.
